As for the topics of their songs, they are writing them for their market. Can you blame them? They werwe not put together by a Simon Fuller-esque Popstar programme, and they started from the bottom and worked their way up. Don't like them, if they are not your type of music - fair enough. Don't not like them just cause they are popular... How about asking for them to *play* their guitars? Or write their own songs? Or sing songs about something non-generic rather than girls, love, and heartbreak? Or generally have some talent?
